![]() The level of uncertainty of the trials predicts the choice to delegate and to seek advice. We observe that unlike rational expectations would predict, participants, value their own information much higher than the expert’s information. We develop a novel decision-making task and test it on a small group of young adults. In the current paper, we develop a framework for the study of decision making under uncertainty with the possibility to delegate the decision to, or to seek advice from an expert instead of betting directly on a choice option. In an aging society, understanding the factors influencing age-related differences in decision making becomes increasingly important.
